We saw a sudden ~50% increase on July 16th, but only fluctuations and moderate growth since then. On weekdays we're now at 80% spam, 95% or better on weekends.

We have seen a relative increase in new spam campaigns over the past 2 days preceded by a lull. That may be what you're noticing.
