My thinking is, dive test can lead me to trim my plane (if there is any thing left for me to trim from post design and mfg.) towards a common dynamic platform (characteristic) through that I can benefit from my prior flying experience/skill/coordination for my other planes also trim that way, and perhaps my friend's plane..... Not being that way, my skill can be very good at one plane but another, or not one plane at all if my skill is confused between my planes. It helps to set up for some consistence. YK Chan Seattle. --------------------------------------------------------- If you like the way it flies, why are you doing a dive test/ It is an over rated test(in my opinion) that is dependent on the tail plane incidence AND CG. In other words only useful if you understand the relationship between Decolage and C.G.and usefull if you pre determine your prefered cruise speed at a chosen angle of tailplane incidence. It gets somewhat muddy after that, and I don't pretend to understand all the math. Often quoted and generally misunderstood in my book. RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
