distributions)

Hello Mateusz,

thanks for your answer. I've added you to the developer team of OpenTREP, so
that you can update the SOCI part (branch 3.0.0:
http://opentrep.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/opentrep/branches/soci-3.0.0/,
and trunk: http://opentrep.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/opentrep/trunk/soci/)
of the Subversion repository, if you need it, and if you want to, of course!

The review report for the integration of SOCI within Fedora is here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=494148 . As you may see in that
report, I've just changed today the GNU Autotools patch (soci.spec.in,
configure.ac, ax_mysql.m4 and ax_postgresql.m4 files), so as to allow the
CXXFLAGS variable to be overriden by the caller/build system.

For the localisation/i18n, you are right. But to allow others to be able to
translate software, we need to put in place a specific framework (e.g., PO
files). That's just what I did on the trunk version (
http://opentrep.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/opentrep/trunk/soci/): set up the
i18n framework allowing others to do the translation job.

For the Doxygen framework, my aim is to allow the generation of the current
(static) HTML documentation, while incorporating generated HTML pages for
the API and source code (classical use of Doxygen).

More generally, I just would like to give more visibility to SOCI, as it is
a very good piece of software, by having it following some de facto standard
(RPM, Autotools, Doxygen, PO, Man and Info pages, etc.), without requiring
(too much) effort from the developer team of SOCI.

Do not hesitate if you need additional information.

Best Regards

Denis

OK

Understood.

Doxygen is good, but SOCI does not use it. Perhaps SOCI will start
using it, but this decision is out of my scope.

Honestly, I've stopped translating software or docs to Polish leaving
this task to people who want to contribute but can not write code.
I prefer to focus on programming.
