Julian, Thank you very much for the patch. I've applied it to the repo. I quickly tested it on Linux machine and it seems to be working. Folks, Basically, I'd appreciate if you could try to build SOCI using CMake on your systems and in whatever configuration you can do it and please report any problems, suggestions and fixes here.
