I made some changes to the odbc backend which you can find in
https://github.com/candychiu/soci. I will continue to check in my changes
into this fork until someone has time to review them, then I will request a
pull.
I found some inconsistency in the timing of the bind between
odbc/standard-use-type and odbc/vector-use-type. For standard-use-type,
the actual bind happens in pre_use(). For vector-use-type, it happens in
bind_for_xxx(). The backend documentation didn't stipulate the timing of
the events.
