Hi , Forgive brief response, but I wanted to react quickly despite time constraints. The situation is this: - current SOCI code (Git master, previous releases) requires C++03 - how to embrace C++11 in future releases has not been discussed yet, AFAIK Personally, I'd like to see SOCI 4.0 switched to C++11. First, however, I'd like to issue fix release SOCI 3.1.1 or even minor 3.2.0. Recently, I've revealed two issues with SQLite3 and PostgreSQL backends that make tests not passing. So, that's my high priority ATM, to make all tests green. There are a few outstanding issues to be fixed in CMake, documentation and tests on Windows/VS. Before releasing update to SOCI 3.x line, I'm not inclined to accept new features. Once it's done and all SOCI tests are green (critical), I'm going to switch the current context to SOCI 4.0. When? I'd like to be able to say something different than "when time allows" :( Thanks for the code, I'll keep it archived. Meanwhile, please, feel free to open a ticket at https://github.com/SOCI/soci/issues and submit feature ideas/requests, patches, etc. Highly appreciated!
