Hi Michael,
Thank you for reporting this. Looks like another incompatibility in
5.5--your code snippet works perfectly on 5.0.
In any case, the cause of the error is that the value you select has the
type LONG BLOB which wasn't correctly recognized by SOCI. I just fixed it
and also added a test case with your code snippet. Can you pull from
github and confirm that the new version works for you?
