I seem to have a 6501 that *really* can't keep time. Part of the
frustrating thing is that I have two, and one of them keeps time
absolutely fine. The other one...

With the ntp client pointing to the general pool, I'm seeing a massive
amount of jitter stabilizing at ~4100 (more than enough to prevent it
from staying in sync). I then ran ntpdate every five minutes and
collected 3258 samples, telling me that on average, the clock is losing
4.04 seconds per five minutes.

Is anyone else seeing this issue? I'm running 64-bit Fedora 17.
