Hi, I'm a newbie to soft radio. I have a QS1R running off the 10.7 IF out of the Icom 9000 receiver. I have repeatedly asked assistance trying to get the GUI software to act like a tuning display but none of the instructions works. So I'm hoping someone help can teach me.
The QS1R has a DFE button inside which is a fequency that specifies something and inside the display presets there are are compensations for frequency, time, etc. Anyway I set my tuning on the 9000 to 1427 MHz and expect to see this on the frequency display of the QS1R but I get a number I don't recognize relates to anything. Also when a scan the hydrogen band with HRD software nothing is intelligible on the SDRMAXIT The good folks at Covington say I take the indicated frequency and divide the IF frequency then multiply by the frequency offset then add it to the dial frequency to get the correct tuned frequency. Hello? Is anybody there. That's what I don't need at all. Does anybody know how to make the SDRMAX2 act like a receiver when it is hooked to the IF of a receiver? Thanking you in advance. Rachel.
