For posterity: it's the list seperator which was the culprit since I had set the decimal symbol back to . from the Norwegian , setting but the Norwegian locale used ; as a list seperator which can be used too interestingly enough. r(0;360) works if it matches the regional settings. I guess , for list and decimal can cause xsi to get confused.
