Ah, the corporate optics of releases are fun to juggle, aren't they?
If you are definitely going into production next month and definitely
need to use an official release, I think you should use 1.2.
Certainly my Solr time has shrunk to almost nothing recently due to my
involvement in a startup which has reached a critical phase. I know
that other committers are also involved in startups as well, which
probably have similar demands on their time.
That makes it hard to have a guaranteed timeline for a 1.3 release.
