What version of SJ are you using (CLient and server)? Usually, this invalid
nodeinfo string
message means that you're trying to connect to your server with an incompatible
version of the
client. Though it's also possible that this could happen if you named a file or
folder using a
non-ascii character (such as a | or [ or something like that). I've tried to
fix SJ so that all of
these characters work fine, but it's possible that I missed one or two. What is
the name of the
folder that's causing you problems? Any files in there that have non-ascii
characters in their
names?
What sort of soap communication issue are you experiencing?
SJ does not create or put files into a directory called .settings. At least it
doesn't do this
directly. Is this where Java stores preferences on Linux machines? Does anyone
know?
