CALL FOR PROJECTS
ENCOURAGING CULTURE FOR AN OPEN SOCIETY
All over the world, people demonstrate courage. However, spaces and
forums for this kind of engagement are becoming increasingly restricted
– even in what are ostensibly the open societies of Europe. We strongly
believe that open society depends on people who have the courage to
engage in controversy and express their own opinions.
WHO WE ARE ADDRESSING
With this Call for Projects, we are addressing all those committed to
this mission and who want to create spaces for resilience and solidarity
with the tools of art and culture.
You are active in the fields of art and culture, or involved in civil
society? Topics such as participation, artistic freedom and social
cohesion form the basis of your project you want to realize together
with actors in Europe or in the Mediterranean region?
Then this is your call!

ABOUT ALLIANZ KULTURSTIFTUNG
The Allianz Kulturstiftung is a not-for-profit cultural foundation for
Europe. The aim of the Foundation is to strengthen cohesion in Europe
using the tools of art and culture. As a promoter of social change, the
Foundation is geared towards achieving impact and it operates independently.
The Foundation is committed to translocal art and culture projects in
Europe and the Mediterranean region. Over the coming years, it will
focus its strategic work on the following thematic areas. It will
promote an open society while adopting a decentralised approach to
Europe and driving forward digitalisation for the common good.

Überall auf der Welt zeigen Menschen Mut. Die Räume und Foren für
solches Engagement werden jedoch immer enger – auch in den vermeintlich
offenen Gesellschaften Europas. Wir sind überzeugt: Die offene
Gesellschaft lebt von Menschen, die Mut zur Kontroverse und zur eigenen
Meinung haben.
AN WEN WIR UNS RICHTEN
Mit unserem Call for Projects richten wir uns an alle, die sich mit den
Mitteln von Kunst und Kultur für eine offene Gesellschaft einsetzen und
dabei Räume für Resilienz und Solidarität schaffen wollen.
Sie sind im Kunst- und Kulturbereich tätig oder zivilgesellschaftlich
engagiert? Themen wie Teilhabe, Kunstfreiheit und Zusammenhalt bilden
die Grundlage Ihrer Projektarbeit, die Sie gemeinsam mit anderen
Akteur*innen in Europa oder der Mittelmeerregion verwirklichen wollen?

ÜBER DIE ALLIANZ KULTURSTIFTUNG
Die Allianz Kulturstiftung ist eine gemeinnützige Kulturstiftung für
Europa. Sie steht dafür ein, den Zusammenhalt in Europa mit den Mitteln
von Kunst und Kultur zu stärken. Als Begleiterin eines
gesellschaftlichen Wandels ist die wirkungsorientiert und unabhängig
arbeitende Stiftung mit Sitz in Berlin sowohl operativ als auch fördernd
tätig.
Die Stiftung engagiert sich für translokale Kunst- und Kulturprojekte in
Europa und im Mittelmeerraum. In den kommenden Jahren setzt sie in ihrer
strategischen Arbeit folgende thematische Schwerpunkte: sie setzt sich
ein für eine offene Gesellschaft, dafür Europa auch dezentral zu denken
und die Digitalisierung gemeinwohlorientiert voranzutreiben.
