Over 450 athletes and 15 training groups of international calibre are currently receiving medical and scientific services through 120 sport science and sport medicine specialists identified by CNMM. Our mission is to help high performance athletes and coaches achieve excellence, with an emphasis on personal development, so they can maximize their potential to achieve top international performances. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. Supervisor, Sport Sciences Reporting to: Director, Sport Sciences Duties: Reporting to the Director, Sport Sciences, the Supervisor Sport Sciences collaborates to the mission and the evolution of the sport science services of the Centre national multisport - Montréal (CNMM). The main duties of the position are: contribute to the strategic planning process and manage the Sport Science Team’s annual action plan; contribute to the development of the sport science programs and services; disseminate relevant information arising from research carried out; provide sport science expertise to training groups; ensure the respect of scientific and ethical standards; manage research projects and follow-ups; collaborate in the production of the Sport Science Team’s activity report; collaborate in the production of scientific communications; contribute in the implementation of professional development programs; contribute to the development of partnership with post-secondary institutions; and develop and supervise a sport science internship program. Qualifications: Masters’ Degree in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics or Motor Learning. A Bachelor’s degree in Administration would be an asset. A combination of training in administration and relevant experience will be considered. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a sport environment and in candidate’s field of expertise (preferably in High Performance Sport). Excellent knowledge in sport sciences. Weekend availability and work scheduling flexibility is required. Excellent knowledge of high performance sport environment, of provincial and national high performance sport systems. Excellent oral and writing skills in both French and English. Very good knowledge and relationships with the research and university community. Excellent abilities in program and services development and implementation. Very good abilities with information technology tools (Microsoft Office Suite). Very good knowledge of data and statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R or others). Good knowledge of Canadian High Performance Coaches training programs. Good knowledge in budget management. Duration: Permanent position Location: Montréal - Centre sportif du Parc Olympique Hours: 35-hour work week Start date: April 2012 Salary: Entry-level salary range is between $54 200 and $75 800 plus a benefits program will be offered to the successful candidate.
