[sqlite] What has changed for AUTOINCREMENT in 3.1?

I see from the 3.1 release notes that AUTOINCREMENT is now supported as a
keyword on integer columns.  But has anything actually changed about the
semantic of auto increment columns?  3.0 had them as INTEGER PRIMARY KEY.
