I use .db cuz it is a database. You are free to call your files whatever you please (as is everyone else). You would have to take a very wide poll of the millions of users of SQLite3 to discover all the file extensions they use, since a name is just a name and nothing more than a name and has meaning only in the eye of the beholder ...
