The first parameter to a JOIN() can be None to avoid superfluous table:
join = [ LEFTJOINOn(Object, attr1, Object.q.id == attr1.q.objectID)
, LEFTJOINOn(None, attr2, Object.q.id == attr2.q.objectID)
]
