ICAP is the path for doing this kind of things.
ICAP support is coming in Squid-3. I think it should be close to ready for
preleminary testing.
ICAP support is also available for ClamAV in at least the c-icap
server, probably other ICAP implementations as well.
ICAP allows other software to plug into the request/response flows of the
proxy and act on the data as it passes by the proxy. Quite suitable for
virus scanning and the like.
