Renowned playwright Tom Stoppard brings us this absurdist, existentialist play gives major focus to two minor characters in Shakespeare's Hamlet, forcing us to ask, Why are we Here? and What is the point of Life? The production runs from July 22nd through August 13th, Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm. Set in the majestic hills of Woodside, this classic comedy follows the misadventures of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern, two minor characters in Hamlet who die in his place in that play and are fated to lose their lives in their own play as well. Staged outdoors in the forest among towering trees, running creeks and beautiful natural land formations, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead involves an invigorating hike through beautiful redwoods where the audience will be led to various locations for each scene. Patrons are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring a picnic to enjoy one hour prior to performance time.
