Hi all, I just want to report my sucess: My loco is running fine now, without any limitations. Steve´s idea with the silicon tubing and Gary´s idea with diswashing soap but showed no leaks. But while doing some tests under steam at the current low temperatures showed my a large cloud of steam coming out of the piston valve of the right cylinder. -I made a new one and now there´s no steam coming out anymore. Additional to that I also discovered that my burner has much more power when it´s connected to my large gas bottle. -This shouldn´t be the case... An advise from a german live-steam supllier (Herrmann-Echtdampf) showed my, that I filled my gas tank the wrong way: I do have a gas-filling system with a long flexible tubing between the gas bottle and the tank. I put the tubing to the tank, opned the bottle an waited a while before closing the valve of the bottle and removing the things. In the procedure I only got gas into the tank, but no liquid gas. I changed this now and I do open the valve to the burner and wait until liquid gas is coming out of the burner. Than the tank is really full. (Should never stay in the sun for a longer time after that procedure!!) And the bruner has really power.
This is the first time I had to close the gas valve a little bit to stop the savetey valve from blowing while running the loco. I do not know how much my insulation added to the performance, but it looks nice and it seems to make sense, so I leave it. Everything is solved, and we had really lot´s of fun with the loco in the last three days.
