Wrap channel to optionally register with a monitoring thread and have that thread remove tasklets waiting on it and raise an exception/print a traceback for them, if they wait for more than a certain amount of time? > Or are there even better ways to find out what is going on? The term deadlock is too vague to contemplate this further.
