Sorry for the cross-posting, but perhaps storage-discuss is the best
place to ask this.

Run across several sources[1][2][3] indicating that cfgadm doesn't play
nice with SAS multipathing under Solaris.

It appears this was addressed in OpenSolaris, but I'm thinking it
hasn't yet been addressed in Solaris 10 (as late as U9).

Can anyone confirm?

I have a disk I removed from a system with multipathing turned on and
am trying to figure out how I can get the ghost of its device id
removed from the system (cfgadm still shows it as does format and
iostat -En).
