Hi, It`s my first post.

I am a newbie at solaris.

Nowdays i have some problems with storage virtualization.

The requirement is not common.

Specific environments:

There are one server and many clients(about fifty?!).

I will use the server as game storage(installed many game at this storage).

In server, I will regularly update or patch games and this files in shared
storage never will be modified by clients.

And whenever client connects to storage, the initial file setting is
display. (regardless of user write action previous connection).

Because client execute the game, client has a write permission ( for patch
or update according to game type ) But it never influence the original data.

At first, I thought the setting that ISCSI
target/initiator+ZFS(snapshot+clone).

Because ISCSI was not implemented for concurrent connections at same
storage. So I tried that create clone for each client.

But it was not suitable to the requirement because of regularly update or
patch.

Is there any solution for this requirements?

[summarization]

Sever : [solaris]

share the storage to clients

regularly update the storage ( patch, update)

the original files or contents of storage at server never be modified by
clients.

Client : [window 7]

Can access the shared storage

Can write some data ( volatile, no influence to original data, virtual
write?!)

Whenever connect to shared storage, can see the original data from server
(regardless of previous write to shared storage)

Your attention makes me happy.. ^^
