I've only taken a cursory look at Poolman and I'm a little unclear as to what benefits it provides. I'm using an Oracle server, and using the Oracle JDBC thin client to connect to it. The thin client has support for connection pooling. If I were to use Poolman, would it replace Oracle's thin client, or sit on top of it? What benefits are there to using Poolman?
