Are there actually any alternatives to Sunray that allow a group of 50
or so thin clients share a single instance of Linux (on a powerful server)?
We have done this for some time with Sunray. Admittedly Oracle pushes
the Virtualization solution of one VM per user which doesn't suit us,
and only supports Oracle Linux (we want Ubuntu).
However, I don't know that any of the other solutions even do this.
