I can get the latest, and have access to the latest from Oracle. The problem
is I’ve upgraded to the latest and have purchased Sun Rays from the past that
are no longer supported, which is why I put this request out there. I need
someone to help me out.

Subject: Re: [SunRay-Users] Sunray 150 firmware

I was shallow reading some docs on Sunray the other day and I understand that
there is last Sun release of SRSS software on server, that has integrated
updates for SunRay clients.
After that version, Oracle removed sunray client firmwares form SRSS and is
asking for paying license for both SRSS and per-client to, using client serial
number, do firmware updates.
** If you ask me, those foolish Orace decisions is what killed SunRay line in
the first place.**
So your best option to use older version of SRSS, make client update to
firmware that is coming with it, latest available for free and then use newest
SRSS available. or pay Oracle for support..
Everyone, Please fix if I said something wrong.

I recently purchased 3 SunRay 150’s brand new in box (I like them because they
are all-in-one) for simple monitoring of sites, however the new SROS doesn’t
have firmware for them and I’m having a hard time figuring out how to grab the
last firmware update that was done for that series of Sun Ray and getting it to
work in the new SROS. Question is, does anyone have a procedure on how to grab
that out of an old version and get it to the /tftpboot or whatever needs to be
done so that I can get them the last firmware that was released for them before
Oracle stopped supporting them? I know it can be done.

Thanks!
