Does...
At the Hit [Enter] to boot immediately, or any other key for command prompt.
...mean the same thing as the bootloader screen? 
 
I broke out to the "ok" prompt and the system did not like the commands listed in
http://wiki.pfsense.com/wikka.php?wakka=BootOptions
Updating the BIOS would be quite a bit of work, so I'd like to avoid that.
 
I also tried installing to the hard drive and I rx'd an error message indicating that there was no hard drive.  There is, and it works fine with the OS that's installed on it.  Can I assume this is somehow related to ACPI as well?
 
I'll give it another shot tommorrow.  Am I missing something obvious here?
