The only way you will make methanol out of hemp is to pyrolise the straw and distil out. Unless anybody knows different? You can crush the oil out of the seed (content about 20ish%) and then use the methanol to produce biodiesel, but this is not a very efficient way to use hemp - it has too many other uses in too many fields.
