I suspect you can get diesel pumps at a variety of pressures, and variously powered.
Mine is a Northern Tool 12VDC pump. It pumps SVO at only about 2 gal./min., far from their 5-1/4 gal./min. stated top speed. With oil's better lubricity (than dinodiesel), I wonder why it's slower. http://www.northerntool.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=47671&prme nbr=6970 My friend has one that moves about 5 gal./min., powered by AC. - Gray >Howdy all, >Could someone please tell me what pressures diesel fuel pumps operate >at? >And, are they all mechanical or are some run by their own electric motor? > >Phillip ------------------------ Yahoo!
