New to the site but I'm very impressed with the quality of information available here as well as the number of people involved. Very encouraging to say the least...
I am curios if there are any 'gas' stations that sell pure ethanol. I have heard that here in Massachusetts there are a couple of places that sell biodiesel (for about the same as pertrodiesel) but that doesn't help me as I have a gasoline engine vehicle. I love the idea of making my own fuel, but it isn't terribly practicle for me to plan to spend several hours (or more) a week brewing up enough ethanol to keep my truck running. Clearly it would be most time and cost effective if a number of people got together to share that investment costs and one person did the actual production and others paid for the fuel. Is there anything like this going on out there or is everyone making their own fuel every week? Recently there has been a law passed in New York State requiring MBTE to be replaced with ethanol in the upstate area. If there is an industry producing enough ethanol for 10% of every gallon sold in NY there surely must be a way to get enough of that production output to power a single vehicle... But where do you go to get it? Can't exactly pull up to the distillery and ask them to fill it up , can you? Thanks for such a wealth of information!
