Indian NE Railway for Jatropha Plants
India's North-Eastern Railway will grow 450,000 Jatropha Carcus plants this year along railway tracks and other land under its control for bio-diesel. The NE Railway General Manager, Mr J P Batra, said that bio-diesel extracted from the plant had been successfully tested in rail engines.
