OK, no lurking. Those of you that remember, I asked why the Crambe didn't appear to be converting properly, good joke here. We took a close look at the 750L bladder that we were sampling...Not Crambe oil, Crambe GUM! The residue! Upon testing other bladders, we found that the unfiltered oil processes just fine. We are forming a CO-OP for those wanting to use Biodiesel in our community, focusing on Agricultural and home-heating fuel, thus avoiding nasty road-tax issues. We are processing 165L daily, aiming for double that next month. Planning on upping to 750L daily in the near future. Still working our way through 7,000L+ of surplus veg oil, squeezing in WVO batches whenever the preheat/filtration tank is full, more restaurants in our community are signing on to have us pick up there WVO all the time, we expect to be up to 1,500L per month from WVO by this winter. We have dropped our production cost greatly by buying NaOH in 50lb bags for $52.50 and Methanol in bulk for $1.81/US gal. -Chuck Ranum
