Well Chuck, That would be all well and lovely, save for one small thing. If the message is clipped, but a half dozen people are writing on the same thread, how is anyone supposed to know what response you are responding too, unless, of course they have a photographic memory?
You just posted a message to Biodiesel with not a shred of the previous message that you're responding to anywhere to be found, making it nigh impossible to discern to whom your comment was intended. Such a complete anhilation of any trail completely destroys context, making it next to impossible to follow a thread, or at least your portion of it. In some instances it's entirely possible that your response could be misinterpreted by someone to whom it's not intended, perhaps giving them unneccessary cause to reply. Trimming helps. Complete erasure is all too unhelpful.
