We occasionally encounter split verse tags in Bible translations, e.g. mostly where the translators deemed it appropriate to start a new paragraph in the middle of a verse.
So you might encounter [say] \v 2-6a text for first five and a half verses \p \v 6b-11 text for next five and half verses On the rare occasions, we've even seen a section heading in between too. Has anyone ever come across a USFM file in which a verse has been split into more than TWO parts? Background: The development by Chris of the Python script usfm2osis.py, in which handling a 'split verse' is still in his # TODO.
