Resolved as suggested. For those with access to the nightly test server: use archive-home.sh to take a snapshot of the relevant files. The archives are named ~/home-<chroot name>.tar.gz. So far, copies for etch-i386, lucid-i386 and testing-amd64 were enough. Other chroots are handled with symlinks. Testing was updated to the current Debian archive, with Evolution 2.32. Nightly testing no longer uses the "file://" prefix.
