I've just heard of an instance of a U.S. collegiate vaulter whose athletics scholarship has been withdrawn because injuries sustained in practice and competition prevent her from vaulting.
Obviously, this is a pretty sleazy move on the part of her coach and university, but I'm wondering how usual it is for this to happen. Does anyone know of other examples? Cheers? I think not. :-(
