◆ビルの下に埋まった人がtwitterでヘルプをつぶやいた Plz Help: im stuck under a building with my child ↓ ◆それを読んだ人がUshahidi(OSM付き)に位置情報付きで転記した http://chile.ushahidi.com/reports/view/3752 ↓ ◆無事救助された ということがあったようです。 チリでは少ない事例のようですが、いざ日本で起こった場合、つぶやく人は結構いそうな気がしました。 --以下原文---------- Hi Patrick, Chris, Denise, Anna and Hilde, and other CM people, As I wrote on Saturday, I have been looking for possible urgent requests for aid for people trapped in buildings in Chile. There do not seem to be many reports of people trapped in buildings in Chile, who are sending text messages asking to be rescued. This is very surprising, given that there were many such SMS messages in Haiti. I did fairly comprehensive Twitter searches using just the general #chile, #terremotochile, etc tags on Saturday and Sunday, since I did not know what other tags / words people might be using. There were many messages in Spanish, which my wife translated (she is from Mexico). Almost none of them were from people trapped in buildings. The very few that I did find, I made Ushahidi reports for, such as: http://chile.ushahidi.com/reports/view/3752 ; Plz Help: im stuck under a building with my child Apparently that person and child were rescued. Thanks, Ushahidi! Surprisingly, however, I have found almost no other actionable SMS or twitter messages from people trapped in buildings who need to be rescued. I have continued to do Twitter searches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I started using Google Reader to translate from Spanish to English, which seemed to work very well. However, I still have found almost no such messages. I also have searched comprehensively through the Ushahid reports, both from the ushahidi/reports web site, and from the downloaded CSV files. There also has been almost no reports of people trapped in buildings, either coming from SMS or the WEB. What do you folks make of this? Does this surprize you as much as it does me? Is it possible that we somehow are missing such urgent need requests? Please let me know what you think about this, and how to proceed.
