APRS is a packet radio technique for HAMs which uses a standardised data frame which is AFSK encoded to transmit on the 2m band, perfect for audio recording. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_Packet_Reporting_System I would suggest this, as there are many ways to encode and decode it. One hardware encoder is the OpenTracker project: http://www.argentdata.com/products/otplus.html Cheers, Simon _______________________________________________ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
