Thanks Frederik, I gave it a try. My relation has 11 members. When I select all of them and sort JOSM removes one of the closed ways from the relation.
If I then select the closed way, edit the relation and try to add it, it won't. I've uploaded my sorted relation (now with 10 members). Is this the expected behaviour? Is there a problem perhaps with that particular way?
