I''m no expert but I think when the mail clients see both lists in CC they will only show one copy because then it's no different than a cross-posted message and clients already deal with this. It sounds like a good idea because then you can simply hit "Reply" and type your comment (like "LOL", or "+1") to start a discussion on talk.
