No, that's the reason for "almost". With much more intensive testing than before I've found a couple of bugs in corner cases, and I'm still fixing them.
When I run [adiff:"2014-06-12T20:00:00Z"]; way(11027880); out; I do get an <old> and <new> section but they don't contain the deletion date.
Please use "out meta;" instead. In the laguage design, out means to not provide meta data but only geometry, memberships and tags.
