Just an idea: You can try starting The Bat with the parameter 
/STARTUP_TIMING_LOG. It logs the startup process step by step and 
writes the timing into the file ex-log.txt. 
Maybe this can be helpful for Maxim, if the exact step at which the 
hang occurs is identified.
