I used x-ray for this purpose on my laptop, but found that after some changes to the network at the office, which uses Exchange, the connection to the smtp server for the office was always rejected when it went via X-Ray, although it worked perfectly when I entered exactly the same information directly into TB!s smtp settings. I have since found that my ISP offers SMTPAUTH for use when not directly connected to the ISP's network, so I use this on the laptop. This is very convenient, as I can send mail via my ISP however I am connecting to the internet.
