I can just tell/report what I practise, if that can be of some help to others, namely... I choose a version which is (enough) stable (otherwise "fixing/reporting bugs" might become an endless process and a "merriment for/of millions", while the action/work limps). I must confess and unbosom that I have no much patience/time with/for buggy software, and am rather prone to change it and/or apply some workaround or a specific routine, than to work and spend my time (additionally) on what is actually programer's duty. If someone makes a program with just few -+ irrelevant bugs, or even without them, that's okay for me. But if a program is constantly flooded with those insects which are actually quite relevant, influencing thus its functionality, then I get rid of it, I kick it out and take something I can do my work with. In the case of Komori! it's a "clean" application (no "plugins", no jokes) and as fewer interactions as possible with "outer" programs. With The Flying Mammal! having that powerful, in general, filtering system, with a little bit of an "once-but-for-ever" work, no additional anti-spam program is needed at all.
