No, your first idea was more to the point, all that entry wants to say is that if a user types "man 5 pkg", mandoc(1) shouldn't show pkg.conf(5), which was the bug that i fixed at one point in the past. No reference to Solaris is intended. So that Theo didn't change this entry in his commit is just fine. Yours, Ingo
