Hello all I’ve been reviewing posts to this group over the last couple of months. I’m a little concerned about the number of articles posted, as opposed to things of the poster’s own making. This list was, quite deliberately, named “Techno Chat”, AKA “Technology Chat”.
Whilst I acknowledge that a certain amount of links to articles are useful and often can be helpful, I’d really like to see a little change in the way the group is used. For a starter, please remember that “Forwarding” messages from other sources is explicitly against list policy. Forwarding is not what we’re here for. There are one or two members who have done nothing but post articles. Surely, surely, personal experience must amount to more than that! Again, I do acknowledge totally that posting a number of links too articles is fine, but please use your judgement a little more. We are a chat group, not an extension of somebody else’s blog. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you wish to contest, discuss or whatever regarding this policy, please do so off list.
