Hello everybody It's amazing! Over here in the UK, there's a big war of words going on between Amazon and some custumers who purchased the Echo and Echo Dot earlier this month when Amazon posted a promotion. They reduced the price from _149.99 to just _99.00. But what they didn't tell people was that they were just clearing stock, to make way for the new Echo and Echo Dot, which should be here any day now.
THE new version has several enhancements, so I'm reading. One of them is a new Echo and Echo Dot Remote. The remote itself is an intelligent device containing its own digital processor and microphone. The idea of the remote is to transmit things from other rooms where there's no Echo microphone cinverate, so I gather. For just _19.99 I didn't think that was too bad a price. One of the things that seems to have got people's backs up with the old version is that, so I'm being told, the device only really worked right for US customers. Again I gather that this oversight has now been addressed. I should know by this time next wek. I should have the remote later today actually, as that has been sent on ahead of the speaker itself for some reason.
