Hi. Thought list members may find this Youtube video of interest. I use a lot of Mac mini late 2012 machines here for different tasks. I bought my first Mac mini Late 2012 model in 2013 so I didn’t get it new. I like these model of Mac because they’re so reliable, indeed the machine I just referred to has ben running 24/7 since the day I bought it 7 years ago. Since that time I’ve bought a number of late 2012 Mac mini machines and spent little money upgrading them to top spec. For most tasks anyone would want to do with computers these machines will perform incredibly well, the article linked to below gives details of where the Mac mini machine may be limited for tasks such as video editing and exporting and this isn’t the fault of the machine, its the fault of the hardware in the box which you can’t do anything about. The Late 2012 Mac mini machines are easily upgradeable and the article along with associated videos shows you how this is done. Sit back and enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-FakIQcHjs
