Continuing a time-honoured tradition of MusiXTeX add-ons in languages that only the developers themselves are comfortable with; I'm as guilty as any, what with M-Tx being written in Pascal. It means that when we (some of whom are at the age when we constantly need to redefine "elderly" so that it doesn't apply to ourselves) finally get too ga-ga to program, maintenance stops. The community really should have a project for converting these add-ons to Lua.
