One more observation is that some times the text is getting pasted inside linux
terminal window using Ctrl+Ins, but 'paste' menu is disabled.

Please note that the copy paste is working fine with TigerVNC 1.0.1
This issue holds us from upgrading to latest TigerVNC. Any quick help is very
helpful.

Venkat

Hi,
Did you get a chance to look into this issue? I have sent my code changes in a
separate request, if that helps debugging hte issue.

The copy/paste issue is very random. it is owrking sometimes, but the log file
shows the content is sent to clipboard.

Hi Pierre,
I have tested the original vncviewer clinet with original tigervnc server
(unmodified)  and found the clipboard is not working between windows to Linux
(both directions).

With our modified server and client, it is wroking fine without any issues from
linux to windows, but we are facing issues only copy/pasting content from
windows to linux.
From the log file, it iseems the client is sending the clipboard content to
server, but the server seems failing to update the clipboard. Please see the
attached screenshot where I have copied text 'Text Copied from Notepad' from
notepad window and the same is reflected int he logfile (right side of the
image), but when I try to paste it in terminal window, it is pasting the text
(''text copied from linux:') that I copied previously inside linux window.

Venkat

Hi,
I have seen a mail thread in the forum about similar issue, but there is no
resolution / fix. Is this related to my issue.
https://www.mail-archive.com/tigervnc-users@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00637.html

I will update you once I test with new server instance without any
modifications.

I am attaching hte diff file regarding our code changes. These changes are done
previously on 1.0.1 and there were no issues.
I have applied all changes except the vncviewer related changes as the
vncviewer is completely changed i nthe new version.

Regards,
Venkat

FLTK is only used in the client, so no worries for the server there.

 issue?

Yes, most definitely. So testing it against something else would be
nice to determine if this really is a client issue.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
